• Non-romantic version in Bojack Horseman. Near the end of the final season, Bojack has been trying to make it contact with his one-half-sister, Hollyhock, after information technology was revealed how Sarah Lynn died. Somewhen he finds out she changed the number on her phone and sent him a letter which he reads while at a frat party. Nosotros never discover out what information technology said, but Bojack is devastated by the content; it's implied that she told him that she was cut ties with him. The standout example, Wendy's breakup notation to Stan, reads, "This is goodbye forever, Stan. I can't fix you lot. Wendy."
• In the Tom and Jerry short "Tom and Chérie", the final letter Jerry receives from his girlfriend Lilli says "50'amour est fini." ^translation The love is finished
